Airfield Radar System (ARS) Performs Well over Rough Terrain at World’s Busiest Airport
SRI deployed ARS at ATL this week as part of a comprehensive technology evaluation. Although the terrain at the test location varied in elevation by over 100 feet and had areas of tall grass and other vegetation, the wide-beam ARS did a great job of tracking and alarming walkers, vehicles, and wildlife. We look forward to adding ATL to the growing list of airports using ARS for Safety and Airfield Perimeter Security.
